Welcome!

Welcome to your Second Grade Class.

This year will be a fun and exciting year for you filled with growth and fun experiences. I will try my best to teach you everything you need to know and in return I will expect your time and attention. We will have time each day for your personal reading where you can choose any book from our classroom library. We will have a writing time where I will ask you to write stories about whatever you choose. You will learn how to add and subtract bigger numbers. You will also be able to count all the money you have in your piggy bank by the time you have completed second grade. Most importantly, you will learn to perfect your reading skills. To complete all of these tasks, you will be asked to use technology and classroom materials.
This blog is where you can go to find out about upcoming events, homework that is due, or links for help on your homework. I will post blogs 1-2 times each week.

I hope you are as excited about this year as I am. I am looking forward to meeting you all and getting to know each of you. See you in class on Wednesday and keep checking the blog for new posts!
